Lose Brain Weight first

How many times have you or some you know made the decision to look better, grabbed the fastest, coolest, most effective, most [enter cool marketing term here] diet, and dove right into it? 2 days later, you’re reaching for the Nutella aren’t ya’?

Why does that happen? Well, quite simply, if you have a set of habits, and leave those habits for a while, you might look better, but as soon as you’re back to old you, it’s de ja vu. Let’s make sure this time when you lose weight it’s forever. You need to lose brain weight first! Here are 5 things you need to do before anything, to lose brain weight first!

1)   It’s a marathon, not a sprint

A sprinter runs 100m in less than 10 seconds. Put that sprinter in the New York Marathon, and well, he won’t even get a souvenir. It’s the same with your diet. If you want to look and feel good for the rest of your life, start by understanding that it’s a longer process than you think. Stop saying “I just want to fit in that dress or suit”, and start shooting for a complete life change.

2)   Before you jump to the how, learn the what

What’s the first thing we look at in diets? Duration, effectiveness, results. The fact of the matter is if you don’t understand how your body works, you won’t be able to run it after you’re done with your diet. Unfortunately, you weren’t born with an owner’s manual. So it’s going to take a little reading on your part. I suggest you learn Types of food, how to read food labels and benefits of exercise as a minimum. I’ll cover these in following articles.

3)   Stop reading those emails!

We’ve all read a ridiculous email or two about how bananas can cause pain in your 2nd left toe, or something to that effect. There are too many misconceptions that you need to correct first, before believing that “eat only tomato soup for the rest of your life” diet. The best way to do this is find a good solid source of info for you to depend on for your information and tips. And the next time you hear the words “I heard that…” at the beginning of a sentence, run!

4)   21 days makes a habit

They do if you do anything in the world for 21 days, it becomes a habit. I don’t know how true that is, but hey let’s give it a whirl! After you’ve learned all you need to learn, and gotten your head straight, it’s time to turn that couch potato in you into someone who doesn’t just play sports on video games. It’s going to take some work, but keep your eye on the prize, and you’ll get there, gradually.

5)   Investment

I don’t have time. I don’t have money. I have a family. My job is stressful. I don’t get back home until 25 o’clock. We’ve all said/heard these excuses before. But let’s look at this way. The only person who gets a say on where you spend your time and money is you. If you’re not spending it on you’re health, It’s probably going somewhere else. Whether that somewhere else is more or less important is your call. To me, these is no better investment than feeling healthy, and looking good. Everything else comes along the way.
